Why We Are Evolving Vendor Society and What That Means for Amazon Vendors

For over five years, Vendor Society has been bringing Amazon Vendors together through virtual roundtables, a space to share experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another. Getting Amazon Vendors in a room, or on a call, is where the real magic happens, and that community spirit is not going anywhere.

What is changing is the format. And the reason is simple: the Amazon landscape is moving faster than ever, and our community deserves content that keeps pace with it.

Why we decided to evolve

Amazon Vendor Central has always been complex. Navigating chargebacks, co-op terms, retail media, and an ever-changing algorithm has never been straightforward. What we are seeing now, across the accounts we work with every day, is that the strategies that worked two or three years ago are having less and less impact. Brands that are not actively evolving their approach are quietly losing ground, often without realising it until the numbers tell a different story.

At the same time, there is a genuine gap in the market when it comes to Vendor-specific content. There is plenty available for Amazon Sellers, and some of it applies across both models, but the specific challenges of being a Vendor, such as managing purchase orders, understanding your AVS relationship, and building a retail media strategy that works within Vendor Central's constraints, are rarely covered with the depth they deserve. That is the gap we want to fill.

Introducing Expert Led Sessions

We are replacing our virtual roundtable format with quarterly Expert Led Sessions. Each session brings together a named expert and a focused topic, with an hour of practical, Vendor-specific insight followed by open Q&A.

The format is deliberately different from a webinar. The content is grounded in what we are actually seeing across Vendor accounts right now, not theoretical best practice. The Q&A is genuinely open: attendees can ask the questions that matter to their specific situation, not just the ones that fit neatly into a pre-planned agenda.

Topics will cover the full range of challenges facing Amazon Vendors, from negotiations and AVS strategy to advertising, retail readiness, and how to build a profitable, sustainable approach to growing on Amazon. We will also be looking at the broader eCommerce landscape, including how channels like TikTok Shop are changing the way brands think about discovery and demand generation.

Our first session: From Noise to Impact

Our first Expert Led Session, From Noise to Impact: Building a High Impact Amazon Marketing Strategy That Works, was led by Rob Murray, our Growth Strategy Lead, and Nathan Gault, our Amazon PPC Manager.

The session covered something we see holding brands back constantly: the gap between high levels of activity and genuine commercial control. Many of the Vendor accounts we review are fragmented. Ads teams focused on efficiency metrics. Retail teams focused on stock and catalogue health. Finance teams reconciling Amazon payments. Leadership pushing for growth. Everyone working hard, but not always from the same plan.

Rob and Nathan walked through a practical framework for closing that gap, covering four core areas.

The first is ASIN investment tiers. Not every product deserves equal budget. The session covered how to classify your range into Hero ASINs (proven revenue engines to defend and protect), Growth ASINs (high upside, invest to gain rank), Test ASINs (new or repositioned, generate data and cap risk), and Long Tail ASINs (maintenance only, no growth capital). Sales performance decides the investment tier and ads amplify it.

The second is retail readiness. Scaling ads onto product pages that are not retail ready is one of the most common and costly mistakes on Amazon. The session included a practical PDP checklist covering everything from title and images through to reviews, A+ content, inventory, and Buy Box stability.

The third is measurement. Focusing on ACoS alone while ignoring TACOS, new to brand percentage, organic rank, and share of voice gives you an incomplete picture of what your advertising is actually doing. Rob and Nathan covered how to build a measurement framework that reflects full account health and profitability, not just ad efficiency.

The fourth is alignment. Strategy only works when every team, whether in-house or agency, is bought into the same overarching plan and working toward the same commercial goal.

If you missed the session, it is available to Vendor Society members on request. Details on how to access it are in the members area.

What’s coming next: Profitability Playbook

Our second Expert Led Session takes place on 14th July 2026 at 4pm and focuses on something we hear from brands constantly: they are driving sales but struggling to see the return.

Profitability Playbook: Fix Your SKU Economics and Margins will break down the key drivers behind SKU-level profitability and show you how to identify what is working, what is draining margin, and where to take action. In one hour you will learn how to assess true SKU profitability across your catalogue, where margin is commonly lost and how to recover it, how to balance growth with sustainable profitability, practical ways to improve pricing, costs, and contribution, and how to make more confident, data-led decisions.

If you are generating revenue but unsure where the profit is coming from, this session will help you regain clarity and control.

How to access our Expert Led Sessions

All Expert Led Sessions are free for Vendor Society members. If you are not yet a member, our Vendor Access tier is free to join and includes access to all quarterly Expert Led Sessions, the Vendor Society mailing list, and our private LinkedIn community for Amazon Vendors.

For brands looking for more structured support, we will shortly be releasing our Vendor Grow membership. It will include everything in Vendor Access plus extra benefits such as virtual peer-led group discussions and the opportunity to get tailored help from our experts.

Whether you are just starting out with Vendor Society or have been part of the community for years, the Expert Led Session format is designed to give you something you can take away and put into practice straight away. Not a notebook full of ideas that never make it off the page, but real, actionable insight from people who work inside Amazon Vendor accounts every day.

We are genuinely excited about where Vendor Society is heading. We hope you are too.
