Portland Pet Food Company wanted to launch their all-natural, human-grade dog food and treats onto Amazon.com. They approached eCommerce Nurse to put together a launch plan. Portland Pet Food Company needed something that would ensure they were setup correctly from the beginning, and get strong results from day one. This client also had some market share from their sales in brick-and-mortar pet food suppliers, but they were relatively unknown online and on Amazon.

We had our in-house copywriting team optimise the title, features, description and keywords for Portland Pet Food Company. Making sure that keyword coverage was intense whilst still remaining readable to the customer. Our marketing department connected with the team at Portland Pet Food Company to make sure that image coverage was developed and had extra images created where needed.

eCommerce Nurse wants clients to feel happy with their content as our relationship grows. We also stay on top of monitoring progress, success, and changes when it comes to content. We are always updating, researching, and reacting to sales data to make content the best it can be.
Our projects then shifted to working on enhanced content for Portland Pet Food Company. We focused on building A+ content for their key product ranges, like brew biscuits and meal pouches. We pre-empted any questions (like what works for different dog breeds, and food ingredients) into the text of our copy and fully optimized all text with keywords. We also included an introduction to the Portland Pet Food Company story and brand, which was started as a labor of love for the health of the owner’s dog, Rosie. Our project manager then included other key actions from the eCommerce Nurse EBC optimization playbook.
When developing the Brand Store, our marketing team worked closely with the Portland Pet Food Company team and our in-house design team. We built content to inform the customer and educate them on the unique selling points of the brand. Our goal was to increase conversion with a comprehensive landing page. The store was also built to complement the client’s own website, so consumers had a cohesive shopping experience within the Portland Pet Food Company brand. We continue to evolve the branded store working closely with their social media team.
Throughout this project, the client had their own dedicated client manager who oversaw all the pieces we undertook for them. Portland Pet Food Company had access to our in-house project management software. And we used our team based across the world to constantly evolve and grow their brand on Amazon. Portland Pet Food Company were so pleased with the projects and the results that they have remained a valued monthly retainer client since.
