Amazon is always refining the Amazon Advertising console and continues to add new features to increase usability and convenience. Users may have noticed a new addition this summer, as Amazon rolled out the “Creative assets” tab within the Advertising dashboard.

What are Amazon's creative assets?

Advertisers can now store, organise, and reuse branded content (such as logos and images) right from the homepage of Amazon Advertising. According to Amazon:

“Creative asset enables brands to provide a consistent shopping experience by easily re-using brand content across Amazon through a single interface. You can upload files and organise them using tags and products in one central location for use across Amazon Advertising, and on Amazon shopping pages.”

Previously, Amazon launched an asset library for A+ Content. This latest feature expands on that, allowing you to work with advertising content more efficiently.

How does this help advertisers?

The builder allows you to quickly and easily share content in a library and provides an organisational structure that should help users find assets and apply them more easily to Brand Stores, Sponsored Brands, and more.

Store and organise

Once you have designed images and have them sized correctly for your Store or ads, you can upload files and organise them in one central location for use across a variety of applications, including Amazon Brand Stores, Sponsored Brands, Amazon Posts, and A+ Content.

Ready to use

Submit your assets for ad policy moderation so they are ready to be used without delay. Easily reusing assets can save you time. Plus, approved assets will have alt text, descriptions, and size requirements that are ready to be used immediately. This will streamline your ads moderation process and potentially improve your ads strategy.

Locate assets quickly

Because you can tag and organise assets, the new interface makes it easy to sort and select assets. When searching, your results can be filtered by asset types (logo, custom, or product image), upload date, file format, file size, dimension, moderation status, etc.

Upload assets from your computer, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. For now, users can only upload images. Amazon claims to be adding video asset management in the coming months.

Who can use Amazon assets?

Anyone using the Amazon Advertising console should have access to the assets under their account login. This is convenient for accounts with multiple users, as they can ensure a consistent experience across all accounts.

The new feature can be used by Amazon vendors, sellers, and KDP authors. It is currently available in the UK, US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

Currently, Amazon does not moderate and approve A+ assets, as they are outside the Advertising console and image management system.

How to use Amazon creative assets

Simply log in to your Advertising console. For those who have access to the console, you can see creative assets in the left menu. This tool is especially useful for large accounts, accounts with multiple users, accounts across multiple locales, and accounts with a wide range of assets to keep track of.
